Sabitha Rajan is currently a Senior Analyst at the Canadian Transportation Agency's (CTA) Centre of Expertise for Accessible Transportation. In this role, she has been involved in various aspects of transportation accessibility, including complaint resolution, stakeholder outreach, compliance monitoring, and more recently, the development of the proposed Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations. During her tenure with CTA, which has included roles as Complaint Facilitator and Accessible Transportation Analyst, Sabitha has demonstrated her passion for finding just and fair resolutions for accessibility-related issues.
A proud mother of two who immigrated to Canada from India in 1995, Sabitha holds a B.A in Psychology, an M.A in English Literature and a B.Ed. from Annamalai University in India. Sabitha is a newly minted grandmother as well. In her spare time, Sabitha enlists her passion for cooking to raise funds which support underprivileged children in India.
